28 Feb 2023 Find-A-Grave pages now exist for all members of this class.
And a curious note: This database was created as a contact list for all-school reunions. Because of this, it included 10 people who were 1939 seniors & graduates of Bloomington High School, not University High. I have removed them from the database, and from the list below.
Thirty-four people are now listed with this class.
26 Oct 2022 Mildred "Boots" Inman Davis Schoonover of Jacksonville, Florida, died July 9, 2014.
Josephine Ann "Jo Ann" Thomas Albright Kahle Steinberg Kelly of Mountain View, California, died December 13, 2016.
And so, the last members of the Class of '39 have passed.
05 Mar 2021 We find that Priscilla Dean Newton Voyles Molling of Worthington, Indiana, died August 10, 1988.
09 Mar 2020 Mildred Joanette Marshall Chattin died January 21, 2008. An obituary is on her Find-A-Grave page.
19 Apr 2019 Over the past few months, I have done extensive research, looking for information on former UHS students. Using the obituary database in the Monroe County Library, Find-A-Grave, 1930 & 1940 censuses, the Social Security Deaths Index, the database of marriages in MyHeritage.com, and Ancestry.com, I have updated the data for many people. No new people were added for the Class of '39, as there were no earlier years the school existed. -- Dave Gray '65
09 Feb 2019 Scans of the Senior Class and underclass photo pages are now available, from the Jordannus in the Monroe County Library.
